I must must must try the restaurant How to cook a wolf next time I'm in Seattle. It's one of three restaurants by Ethan Stowell. He got the great name from the 1940's book by MFK Fisher.
It looks delicious!

Vin de Syrah

I always like going new places to see how it is designed. So, I checked out this new wine bar in downtown San Diego last night. It was designed by Michael Sorriano the inspiration for the space is from"Alice in Wonderland". It has a sophisticated whimsical feel. Some of my favorite features are the ivy covered walls, the stacked crown molding cladding the columns and the old grape vines suspended from the ceiling. I always enjoy a place where it is a challenge to find the entrance. You have to go down unmarked stairs from the side walk that led down to a dingy stair well with graffti coverd doors then if your lucky you see a ivy wall that contains the door. It feels like you belong to a secret club.
